One of Nigeria’s brightest Sales consultant and Entrepreneur, Faith Azi, the GMD and Founder Faith Azi Global Limited and Founder, Digital Hub Africa has pointed out that what businesses need are the systems to customer acquisition and not chasing after sales.
According to her, in a message she posted on her social media handle, Faith affirms and urges business owners to do the following. Here’s what she said: “YOU’RE NOT IN BUSINESS TO MAKE SALES! Haha (Don’t be too in a hurry to stone me).”
Then why am I in business if it’s not to make sales? I’ll tell you.
She says, If you’re a medium or large scale business owner or C-suite executive, you’ve probably struggled with poor to no sales in your business and organization. That’s because you want to make sales. Wait! I know what’s on your mind. “Well who doesn’t?” You might ask.
Now here’s the thing. Your primary aim in business is to acquire customers. Azi said, when you do this successfully, sales pours in almost effortlessly. This is because customers are loyal. Customers will pay you, she further added.
Years ago, while running my business, I would usually chase for sales and wonder why it wasn’t coming not until I discovered this truth I’m about to share with you.
Here’s one simple thing you can do to make your business a sales magnet. Invest in things that promotes customer loyalty to your brand. Train your staff to treat and communicate with clients in a way that makes them feel special; this could be remote or walk-in. Learn to listen to their complaints and solve their problems efficiently, send them an after service appreciation note or content celebrating special occasion such as Birthday, anniversaries, etc. Promote offers personalized and tailored towards their needs. Make them trust and rely on your brand. Once you do this, they would always run to you and choose you over competitors.
Never forget that when you successfully acquire customers _ loyal customers, sales then becomes an aftermath.
